Data field on custom fields

As an App developer, I would like to have a data field for custom fields. As of now, a custom field have a list of properties, where value is one of them. I would like a data (text) field where I can store data used for e.g. calculating and updating the data field, store JSON, etc. It should not be visible to the user, so the only acccess is from AppScript.
